From Cumbria Hens
The Lemon Millefleur Sablepoot is a true bantam (having no large fowl counterpart) and an absolute joy to keep. They are renowned for their striking pale lemon plumage heavily speckled with black and white "millefleur" (thousand flowers) markings. Appearance: Distinctive heavy feathering on their legs and feet ("vulture hocks"), with an upright, confident posture. Temperament: Exceptionally tame, calm, and friendly — making them perfect for families, beginners, or mixed ornamental flocks. Laying & Broodiness: They lay small cream or tinted white eggs and make fantastic, dedicated sitters if you want a natural hatch. Egg Quality & Fertility Our breeding group is actively treading, and we regularly test our own eggs to ensure high fertility rates. Eggs are collected fresh daily, stored pointy-end down at the correct temperature, and turned regularly. We do not wash our eggs, as this removes the natural protective bloom.
