About the Chamois Appenzeller Spitzhauben
The chamois spangled is a later addition to the breed, refined by German breeders: a golden-buff ground colour carrying creamy-white spangles in place of the black markings seen on the silver and gold. The result is a softer, two-tone version of the classic spangled pattern. It is recognised by the EE but not separately standardised by the Poultry Club of Great Britain, and like all Appenzellers it is a crested, active forager laying white eggs.
