About the Crele Araucana

Crele is a barred form of the black-red, where the barring gene overlays the wild-type pattern to give pale, cream-and-gold barred hackles and a soft orange-and-grey barred body, lighter and more delicate than the solid black-red. It is one of the twelve PCGB-recognised colours and among the more eye-catching patterned varieties. A blue-egg layer like the rest of the breed.
