About the Spangled Araucana
The Spangled Araucana shows a ground colour broken by sharp V-shaped black tips at the end of each feather, giving an even spotted pattern across the body. It is one of the twelve colours recognised for the Araucana in the British (PCGB) standard. Like all Araucanas it lays the breed's signature blue (sometimes green) eggs and carries the breed's distinctive face-furnishings; the spangled form is one of the rarer colours kept by hobbyists.
