About the Black-Red Asil
The Black-Red (Black Breasted Red) is the classic and most numerous Asil colour: the cock carries a deep red hackle and saddle over a hard black breast and tail, while the hen is a partridge-brown ground with a golden-orange neck. It was among the colours admitted to the APA Standard of Perfection in 1981. As with all Asils, the plumage sits tight and hard over the breed's muscular, upright gamefowl frame.
