About the White Barnevelder
A clean, solid white Barnevelder with no markings — a marked contrast to the breed's signature lacing. It was created from recessive-white birds crossed with White Plymouth Rock and White Leghorn and recognised in the Netherlands in large fowl in 1934 (bantams 1960). Recognised by the Dutch club rather than the lacing-focused British standard, it keeps the breed's hardy, dark-egg-laying, dual-purpose character.
