About the Black Belgian Bearded d'Anvers
A self-black bird: the upper plumage is a green-glossed beetle black over duller black under-fluff, set off by dark eyes and a dark horn-to-black beak. The solid colour throws the d'Anvers' silhouette — full beard, neat rose comb and tail carried high and forward — into clean relief.
