About the Blue Belgian Bearded d'Anvers
True blue is a medium slate-blue body in which every feather is laced with a darker blue-black edge, the hackle and saddle of the cock running a shade deeper still. Unlike the even lavender, blue is the classic laced Andalusian-blue colour and does not breed wholly true. It clothes the d'Anvers' high breast and full beard in a smoky, well-defined tone.
