About the Blue Quail Belgian Bearded d'Anvers

Blue quail is the quail pattern with the blue dilution gene: the black areas of the head and hackle are softened to slate-blue, leaving the same gold breast and finely marked body but in a cooler, smoky key. It is one of the recognised quail-family colours of this Belgian true bantam, sharing the breed's beard, rose comb and forward carriage.
