About the Millefleur Belgian Bearded d'Anvers
Millefleur ("thousand flowers") is a mahogany-ochre ground in which each feather is tipped with a black crescent and a small white spangle, so the whole bird looks dusted with tiny flowers; the spangling broadens with each moult, so older birds carry more white. It dresses the d'Anvers' bearded face and high, forward breast in one of the breed's showiest patterns.
