About the Quail Belgian Bearded d'Anvers
Quail is the breed's original and most familiar colour: cocks carry a black, gold-laced head and hackle over a brilliant gold-yellow breast, while hens are a soft brownish ground finely peppered with black, with narrow gold edging to the head and neck. On this jaunty true bantam the beard frames a quail-patterned face above the rose comb and tail-up carriage.
