About the Self Blue Belgian Bearded d'Anvers
Self blue is the breed's name for the lavender colour: an even, silvery pearl-grey across the whole bird, produced by the lavender gene and free of the dark lacing or splash markings of true blue. It gives this bearded Belgian true bantam a soft, uniform single tone. (Self blue and lavender are two names for the same colour.)
