About the Black Belgian Bearded d'Uccle
A solid self-black variety with a green-beetle sheen over the whole bird, the dark plumage contrasting with the full beard, muff and feathered feet. Black was one of the early colours added soon after the founding millefleur and porcelain, and is APA-recognised (1996). Purely ornamental like all d'Uccles.
