About the Blue Belgian Bearded d'Uccle
A self blue produced by the single (heterozygous) blue gene, giving an even slate-grey often with darker lacing, and frequently a clean black neck and tail. Because blue is incompletely dominant it does not breed true — blue-to-blue gives roughly half blue, with black and splash siblings. Listed by the Entente Européenne among the breed's recognised colours.
