About the Cuckoo Belgian Bearded d'Uccle

A cuckoo-barred variety in which the barring gene lays irregular, slightly blurred light-and-dark bands across each feather, softer and less crisp than true barring. Cuckoo was one of the colours added early in the breed's development and is listed by the Entente Européenne among recognised d'Uccle colours. Ornamental, on the usual bearded, booted bantam type.
