About the Porcelain Belgian Bearded d'Uccle
Porcelain is the lavender dilution of Millefleur: two copies of the recessive lavender gene soften the red ground to pale straw and the black markings to bluish-lilac, leaving creamy-white spangles for an overall pastel version of the millefleur pattern. One of the two founding d'Uccle colours and APA-recognised in 1965. Because it is lavender-based it breeds true, unlike blue-based dilutions.
