About the Black Booted Bantam
A self-black Booted Bantam with solid black plumage carrying a green beetle sheen in good light, the dense foot feathering and vulture hocks also black. The black is one of the oldest varieties and, like the white, is thought to have been bred in the United Kingdom, documented at least from 1841. It is recognised by both the Poultry Club of Great Britain and the American Poultry Association.
