About the Lavender Booted Bantam
A self-lavender (self-blue) Booted Bantam, an even, soft blue-grey throughout produced by the recessive lavender gene rather than the blue gene, so it breeds true and lacks the lacing of true blue. The colour extends through the feet feather and vulture hocks for a uniform pastel bird. Lavender is standardised by the Poultry Club of Great Britain, and the APA recognises the equivalent self-blue.
