About the Gold Spangled Brabanter
The Gold Spangled is one of the two best-known Brabanter colours: a golden-bay ground feather tipped with a crisp black half-moon (V-shaped) spangle, giving the whole bird a finely dotted appearance. Like all Brabanters it pairs this ornamental plumage with the breed's jaunty upward V-crest, trim three-part beard and V-comb, and lays white eggs. A rare crested heritage breed kept mainly for looks, with Gold among the most commonly seen varieties.
