About the Blue Columbian Brahma

Blue Columbian applies the blue gene to the Columbian (Light/Buff) pattern: the black hackle striping and tail are diluted to slate-blue rather than black, giving a softer blue-marked bird on a white or buff ground. Like all blue varieties it segregates into Columbian, blue Columbian and splash, and it is a newer, developing colour rather than a long-standardised one. It carries the same Columbian layout as the Light, just in blue.
