About the Gold Brahma

Gold is the gold-pencilled Brahma — internationally the standard name for what the US often calls Partridge. Hens show a golden ground patterned with fine, sharply defined black pencilling; cocks carry rich gold hackles and saddle over a black-based body. The clean gold base gives crisper contrast against the pencilling than the redder ground of partridge in some other breeds. Recognised among the British Poultry Standards colours.
