About the Isabella Brahma
Nicknamed the 'King of Chickens', the Brahma is a true giant — developed in 19th-century America from large Asian fowl and once the principal US meat breed. Cocks can top 5kg, and the feathered legs, pea comb and dense plumage make it both strikingly handsome and well suited to cold weather. A good winter layer of large brown eggs and a gentle, stately presence in any flock.
