About the Light Brahma

The Light is the classic Brahma and the foundation colour: a clean white body set off by a Columbian pattern of black-striped, white-laced neck hackles and a black tail, with the cock's saddle feathers striped in black. One of the two original colours in both the first British Poultry Standard (1865) and the APA's 1874 Standard of Perfection. It pairs this crisp markings with the breed's giant frame, feathered legs, pea comb and calm temperament.
