About the Blue Bresse Gauloise
The blue Bresse is the breed's most recent colour, a created variety carrying the dilution gene that softens black to an even slate-blue over the characteristic blue legs and red comb. Rarer and newer than the regional colours, it shares the breed's white eggs and renowned table conformation but holds no AOC standing, which belongs to the white alone.
