About the Grey Bresse Gauloise
The grey Bresse de Bourg is the silver-pencilled variety, its near-white plumage finely marked with grey — the neck hackle almost entirely white save for grey-tipped points — over the breed's blue legs and red comb. One of the original regional colours, it is uncommon and recognised in British standards, sharing the white-laying, fine-fleshed character of the famous Bresse.
