About the Brown Calder Ranger

The single colour form of this modern British hybrid: a medium ginger-brown base broken by white flecking to the neck, wing and tail feathers, with pale under-feathers. Bred slightly heavier at point-of-lay so she copes outdoors in all weathers, she is extremely placid and hardy, often the friendliest bird in the flock, and a generous layer of around 310-330 mid-brown eggs a year.
