About the Gold Campine
The Gold (Golden) Campine shares the Silver's exact black barring and beetle-green sheen but lays it over a rich golden-bay ground, with head and neck hackles in solid gold rather than white. As in the Silver, both sexes carry identical markings and the bars are broad-black on the gold base. Crossing Golden males with Silver females yields day-old auto-sexable chicks. A hardy, active white-egg breed, now rare and kept chiefly by enthusiasts; recognised in the APA Standard since 1914.
