About the Columbian Cochin
The Columbian Cochin is essentially white with black points: a white body set off by a black neck hackle laced with white, black in the tail and wing flights, the pattern restricting black to the extremities. It is a US bantam-Cochin variety, standardised by the APA in 1977, and is not part of the UK large-fowl standard. The clean white-and-black 'Columbian' contrast reads sharply on the breed's broad, heavily feathered shape.
