About the Cuckoo Cochin

The cuckoo Cochin is barred with irregular, soft-edged bands of dark blue-grey across a paler grey ground; because the Cochin is a fast-feathering breed the barring is broad and slightly blurred rather than the crisp, narrow lines of true 'barred' fowl. Cuckoo is one of the recognised UK large-fowl Cochin colours under the Cochin Club of Great Britain. The diffuse barring softens further against the breed's loose, fluffy feathering.
