About the Gold Laced Cochin
The golden-laced Cochin replaces the silver ground with a rich golden-bay, each feather rimmed by a glossy black lacing for a deep, scaled appearance. Like its silver counterpart it is an APA variety (standardised 1965) rather than a UK large-fowl colour. The warm gold-and-black lacing is particularly striking on the breed's mass of soft, rounded feather.
