About the Cuckoo Crèvecœur
The Cuckoo Crèvecœur shows the barred cuckoo pattern — irregular bands of dark slate-grey and lighter grey across each feather — in place of the breed's solid black. Like the blue and white forms it is recognised only in France, not in the UK or US, and is correspondingly rare among an already endangered crested breed. It keeps the full crest, beard, small V-comb and white eggs of the standard bird.
