About the Black-Breasted Red Cubalaya
The original and by far the most common Cubalaya colour: cocks show a rich dark golden-red hackle, back and saddle over a solid black breast and lower body, with a bronze-green sheen on the signature low-sweeping 'lobster' tail. It carries the breed's white-to-light-horn beak and pinkish-white legs. One of only three colours allowed by the original Cuban standard and accepted by the APA (1939) and ABA.
