About the White Cubalaya

A clean, solid white plumage variety carrying the same pinkish-white legs and white or light-horn beak as the black-breasted red. Far scarcer than the red, it is nonetheless one of the three colours permitted by the original Cuban standard and recognised by both the APA and ABA. Beneath the white feathering it keeps every Cubalaya hallmark: pea comb, bright-red face and the long, downward-sweeping lobster tail.
