About the Silver Grey Dorking
The Silver Grey is the most commonly seen Dorking colour. Cocks carry silver-white hackle, back and saddle over a solid black breast, wings and tail; hens show silver-and-black hackles above a pale salmon breast and a clear silver-grey body with darker grey pencilling. It is bred only with a single comb, unlike some other colours. In every other respect it is the classic Dorking: a deep, low-set table fowl on short five-toed legs, laying white eggs.
