About the Blue Partridge Dutch Bantam
Blue Partridge takes the standard partridge layout but with the blue dilution gene softening every part that would otherwise be black to a slate or pigeon-blue. The cock's breast and tail are blue rather than black, set against the partridge-coloured hackle and saddle. It is one of the blue-based partridge variants standardised in Britain, where blue does not breed true and continues to throw black and splash offspring.
