About the Gold Partridge Dutch Bantam
Gold Partridge is the original and defining colour of the Dutch Bantam, and the one against which the breed's type was first set. The cock carries rich golden-orange hackle and saddle over a black breast and tail with a green sheen, while the hen shows the classic partridge ground of soft golden-brown finely peppered with black. It was among the first colours standardised in Britain, before the Dutch Bantam Club of Great Britain was formed in 1982.
