About the Black Faverolles
A self-black Faverolles, ideally with a green sheen over the dense plumage, recognised among the UK-standardised colours but uncommon. The solid black gives a striking contrast against the soft white beard area in young birds and shows off the breed's heavy, fluffy outline, muffs, feathered legs and fifth toe. Same placid, dual-purpose bird as the Salmon, laying the breed's light tinted egg.
