About the Blue Faverolles
A blue (slate-grey) Faverolles produced by the blue dilution gene acting on black. Because blue is incompletely dominant, a single copy gives this even grey-blue, while breeding blue-to-blue also throws black and splash offspring — so blue does not breed wholly true. A scarcer UK colour, it keeps all the breed's signatures: beard, muffs, feathered legs and the fifth toe, in the same gentle, heavy-soft-feathered frame.
