About the Blue Salmon Faverolles

A blue-diluted version of the classic Salmon pattern: the blue gene softens the black areas (the cockerel's breast and underbody, the hens' slate underfluff) to a smoky grey while the straw and salmon tones remain. Because blue is incompletely dominant, blue-salmon does not breed true — pairings throw salmon, blue-salmon and splash-salmon birds. A European/scarce colour retaining the breed's beard, muffs, feathered legs and fifth toe.
