About the Salmon Faverolles
The original and by far the most common Faverolles colour, accepted to the APA in 1914 and the form most often seen in UK breeding. It is strongly sex-linked in appearance: hens are a soft straw-to-honey wheaten over the hackle, back and wings with creamy-white beard, muffs and underparts, while cockerels are almost the opposite — straw hackle, back and saddle over a black breast, beard and underbody with beetle-green tail. Carries all the breed's hallmarks: muffs, beard, feathered legs and the fifth toe, gentle to a fault.
