About the Silver Penciled Friesian Fowl
The silver pencilled Friesian carries a white (silver) ground feather crossed by fine, evenly spaced black pencilling that follows the feather's contour in two to four nested crescentic lines, giving a crisp black-on-white pattern. It is one of the three pencilled colours recognised in the UK and, like all Friesians, is a small, hardy, tireless forager laying white eggs.
