About the Black Frizzle

A self-black Frizzle should be a sound, lustrous black with under-colour as dark as possible, the curling feathers ideally carrying a green sheen. Black is one of only four colours recognised in the European standard alongside the British, putting it among the longest-established Frizzle colours. As with the breed generally it is ornamental, with every feather curling outward, and lays tinted eggs.
