About the Blue Frizzle
The Blue Frizzle shows one even shade of slaty blue, light to dark with medium preferred, and should be a clear solid blue free from mealiness, peppering, sandiness or bronze. The colour comes from the single blue dilution gene, so blue-to-blue matings throw blue, black and splash offspring. Blue is one of the four colours recognised in both the European and British standards; the bird is ornamental, with the breed's outward-curling feathers, and lays tinted eggs.
