Buff Frizzles carry one clear, sound shade of buff right through to the skin, with the male allowed greater lustre on the hackles and wing-bow. The even ground colour is offset by the breed's defining curled plumage, where each feather turns outward. Buff is recognised in the British and Australian standards (though not the narrower four-colour European list); the bird is ornamental and lays tinted eggs.
