About the Red Frizzle
The Red Frizzle is a self-red bird: the male a rich brilliant red harmonising across hackle, back and breast with black wing-primaries and a black or greenish-black tail, the female a rich, dark, even and lustrous red with a black tail. The deep solid colour is shown off by the breed's signature curled feathering. Red is recognised in the British and Australian standards (not the four-colour European list); the bird is ornamental and lays tinted eggs.
