About the Spangled Frizzle
Spangle Frizzles carry the Old English Game-style spangling: the male has dark-red neck, hackle and saddle finely tipped with white over a black breast and thighs evenly tipped white; the female shows golden-red hackle streaked black and finely white-tipped with a dark-salmon breast similarly spangled. The white feather-tips give a flecked, jewelled look across the curled plumage. Spangle is listed in the British standard; the bird is ornamental and lays tinted eggs.
