About the Blue Japanese Bantam

An even slate-blue from head to tail, ideally free of black or white feathers. As blue is governed by a dilution gene it does not breed true, so a single pen throws blue, black and splash offspring rather than uniform blue chicks. It is shown on the usual short-legged, high-tailed Chabo type.
