About the Blue Jersey Giant

The most recent variety, recognised by the APA only in 2003, and the rarest of the three. It shows even slatey-blue plumage with darker blue lacing on the feathers and near-black to dark willow shanks. As an Andalusian-type blue it does not breed fully true: pairing two blues yields blue, black and splash offspring. In every other respect it is the same calm, giant brown-egg layer as the breed standard.
