About the White Jersey Giant

A clean solid-white variety recognised by the APA in 1947, distinguished from the black by willow-coloured shanks with yellow soles and a more yellow beak. Like all Jersey Giants it is a massive, slow-growing dual-purpose bird with a docile temperament and good winter laying of very large brown eggs, but the white is scarcer than the foundation black.
