About the Blue Partridge Kraienkoppe
The Blue Partridge Kraienkoppe takes the breed's original duckwing/partridge pattern and substitutes slate-blue for black, so the cock's breast and tail and the hen's pencilling show a soft blue from the action of the blue dilution gene. Recognised among the breed's partridge family of colours, it is one of the rarer options and carries the same alert, upright Malay-Leghorn type and hardy free-ranging temperament.
